Alyssa’s Senior Year

What an amazing day! Alyssa was kind enough to meet me at one of my favorite urban backdrops…downtown Tacoma’s Museum of Glass district. This was my first time meeting Alyssa, but I have known her parents for 100 years (give or take), and I was blessed when they asked me to document Alyssa’s senior year with a series of photos.

A Sumner High senior, Alyssa is all class! What a beautiful young woman! We had lots of time to chit chat and find out what her hopes and dreams are. She wants to be a veterinarian, and is considering a number of prestigious schools for her degree.

I hope you all enjoy Alyssa’s senior session as much as I do. Some of my finest work, I must say:)

Thank you, Alyssa, for a terrific shoot! Congratulations, Senior Lady!:) This is gonna be a great year!!!

Thanks Joel!!

What a great day! This past Friday, I got to spend some quality time with my friend, Joel. I have known Joel for many years and I can hardly believe that he is a senior! Crazy, right? Well, Joel and his mom asked me to commemorate Joel’s senior year with a photo session. It was awesome! After a dumping of rain the night before, I woke up to blue sky, perfect for the downtown Tacoma morning rush. Joel met me at my favorite Starbucks, and off we went. He’s a great sport, and easy to work with:) Thanks Joel!! We spent about an hour walking around the Museum of Glass area, looking for some good places to shoot. Here is what we found. Enjoy:)!!

Tacoma Nights

Over these past few months, I have been tackling an assignment for a continuing education course I am taking. This lesson is all about night time photography. This is a new genre for me, so in an effort to round out my photography skills, I gladly took this on.

Below is a compilation of photographs I took last weekend (when the weather was better) downtown Tacoma at and around the Museum of Glass. I hope you enjoy my first attempt at night photography.

Engagement Session of Dee & Zac

Dee and Zac are one really cool couple. We had the opportunity to photograph them this last week while they were in town (I think that I have now set a record for getting previews online). We had a great time getting to know them while shooting their pictures around the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. The weather was awesome-we didn’t have to dodge rain showers and bird poo (my friend Michele had some experiences with this one) but we did have one unfortunate accident with doggy doo (please, please, please clean up after your pets!). Gross but no serious harm done.

Dee and Zac will be getting married on September 5 and we are honored to be their photographers. Thanks for a great time time, guys, and enjoy the preview!

Blessings,

Chris
